We had a great day at the National Business Expo up in the RDS the other week and had a great chance to hear from some great speakers and network in the crowds.

Being a small company such as ours and thankfully being quite busy means it can be hard to sometimes take a step back from the business. What this event gave us what that chance to look at things from the outside in and get some honest feedback.

On the day itself we heard some great keynotes from people such as Noel Davidson who gave us some more great tips on social media and online marketing. I have aways had great respect for Niall Quinn and thought he had some more great business advice on the day. Whilst there was a great number of financial experts on hand who were giving out advice on investment and accounting issues.

However as I mentioned the best part of the day was getting feedback on our business and product from the experts. Luckily we got a thumbs up from everyone we spoke to so we must be doing something right. We also took away lots of business cards and phone numbers which is vital at these events, just as vital is actually following up on these numbers which is something that we all can be found guilty of not doing at one time or another.

All in all we had a very insightful and productive day at the Expo and would definitely recommend any SME to check it out next year and it was free to attend which was also a massive bonus.
